Missing Man’s Car Found at Ski Basin

State Police and area Search and Rescue teams began searching for a 29 year old Santa Fe man Saturday afternoon on December 13, 2014. The subject was last seen on the prior Thursday and a family member found his car parked at the ski area parking lot Saturday morning. The first operational period began at 1100 Saturday and continued through five additional operating periods during the next week with no results.

Missing Wood Cutter

At 0900 Monday morning, December 1, 2014, State Police requested a search and rescue mission be launched for a 34 year old male who was wood cutting in an area southwest of Coyote near Abiquiu Lake and became separated from his group Sunday afternoon. A SAR Mission was initiated at 0923 Monday morning.

Missing Santa Fe Woman

The subject was reported to be a 61 year old female who according to the reporting party had not been seen since November 20th. State Police had located the subject’s vehicle in the Ski Santa Fe parking area on November 25th but had not connected that investigation to a missing person report.

Mission for missing male snow shoer in the Borrego Trail/FR 102  [Pacheco Canyon Road] area

The weather and the terrain were as challenging as any in which we have searched – some 7-8 inches of snow fell from 1600 on Friday to the end of the mission at ~1100 Saturday. Deep snow, combined with falling snow, steep terrain, sleet and many blow downs were the main problems.
